Secret Socks

I always have a travel project. Sometimes it's my main project too ... sometimes not. It depends on if I have the means to carry it around. This project lived in a crown royal bag hanging from my purse for many months as I worked on them, a row here and there.

I almost felt guilty working on them at times because they were a personal thing, a gift for later in the year. But that was always when my main project was way too complicated or large to carry with me and quickly set aside while out walking around. I got over the guilt pretty quickly.



I think I love everything about these socks. I love the little mock cables. I love the seed stitch up the leg. I love how the pattern crosses over across the foot. I love how it's reversed on each sock.



These are off to the gift box. I can't wait to give them to my friend but I'll have to. I think she'll love them.

    These are spectacular! You must advise your friend to take her shoes off at every opportunity, propping her feet on tables and desks so that they can be admired properly!! :)

    I think that is the first time I have seen socks with a reversed pattern on each sock. It is brilliant...I have just one suggestion for you...MAKE ANOTHER PAIR :) then you can have a pair too.

      I do love symmetry. I think I've seen a few .. but I live on ravelry.

      I have more yarn, I'm debating if I want another pair of these .. or if I want something else. *laugh*

    Great pattern - I ducked away for a minute to click your link and add it to my faves - and what a yummy colourway with all those blues and purples. Very much like Kei Mei from Cookie A, but with more subtle cables. Love it!

    Those are yummy! I love the colorway. I'm jealous of the sock knitters. Sock needles are too tiny for my hands, but I love sock yarn.
